Alex Binelas hit a grand slam in the seventh inning as the Portland Sea Dogs rallied for an 8-5 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Wednesday night in an Eastern League game at Hadlock Field.
Kristian Campbell, who was named the Eastern League Player of the Month for June, was 3 for 4 with two RBI. He had an RBI double in the first and an RBI single in the eighth.
The Sea Dogs trailed 5-3 entering the bottom of the seventh. With two outs, Blaze Jordan singled and Eddinson Paulino and Phillip Sikes walked. Ryan Boyer then relieved Hunter Gregory and gave up a homer to Binelas to center field.
Tyler McDonough was 2 for 4 and scored twice for the Dogs, who have won four straight.
Alex Hoppe, Portland’s third pitcher, got the win with 2 1/3 scoreless, hitless innings. He walked one and struck out five.
