Bettyann Sheats has lived a life of service to both her country and her state. Bettyann is running for Maine state Senate District 20, which includes Auburn, Durham, New Gloucester and Poland.
Her service has included eight years as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army after graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. She has also served as a well respected state representative for Auburn.
Bettyann is well aware that municipalities are dealing with ever increasing unfunded mandates from the state level which ultimately lead to increases in already expensive property taxes. She will work energetically to protect us from Augusta’s habitual overreach.
I hope others join me in voting for Bettyann on Nov. 5.
