In the summer of 1969, I begged Lewiston Public Works Director Roger Pruneau for a job. He said the only job they had open was on a trash truck, and college kids had never done well on a trash truck. But, my begging convinced him and I was hired.
That summer I also worked nights at McDonalds and I worked two jobs during my college years in Orono.
Moral of this letter: Democrats work hard.
If we vote blue in November, we’ll get folks who will work hard for employers rather than for themselves.
