Hunter Dobbins pitched six scoreless innings and Kristian Campbell scored three times as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Hartford Yard Goats, 7-3, in an Eastern League game Tuesday night in Hartford, Connecticut.
Dobbins allowed three hits, struck out six and walked one to improve to 6-2 this season. Caleb Bolden pitched two scoreless innings to earn the save.
Phillip Sides hit a two-run home run and Eddinson Paulino an RBI double in the second inning as Portland took a 3-0 lead. Blaze Jordan had an RBI double, Paulino had a sacrifice fly and Alex Binelas an RBI single in the sixth inning as the Sea Dogs pushed their lead to 3-0.
Hartford scored three times in the seventh before Jordan hit an RBI single in the ninth for Portland.
