The L/A Community Little Theatre 2024 summer musical theater productions will be held this weekend with performances July 19-21. The youth camp musical of “James and the Giant Peach, Jr.” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. The teen camp production of “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.” will take the stage on at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 21.
These two productions culminate four weeks of intensive, performance-based programs. Campers were responsible for mastering the material (lines, staging, choreography, and singing), and participating in rehearsals. The youth camp is for children in grades 4-7 and participants in the teen camp are in grades 8-12. Maddy DuBois and Maria Groover directed the youth camp and Linda Vaillancourt led the teen camp. Jackie McDonald is the producer for both shows.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors and students, and $17 for children under the age of 13. Prices include all taxes and fees. Tickets are available online at laclt.com/box-office-1 and may also be purchased at the door. All productions will be held at CLT on 30 Academy Street in Auburn. L/A Community Little Theatre is located at 30 Academy St., Auburn. A volunteer, non-profit organization, CLT has produced live theatre since 1940 with the goal to provide affordable and quality entertainment in the performing arts as well as education, training, and experience in theatre for area youth.
