One New Hampshire resident is dead and another was hospitalized after their motorcycle was found crashed in an open field in Lebanon early Thursday morning.
York County Sheriff William King said a resident of River Road in Lebanon found the motorcycle and two people lying in a field at approximately 5:20 Thursday morning.
The resident called police, who identified the driver as Joseph Vachon, 32, of Rochester, New Hampshire, and the passenger as Rhiannon Cooper-Boisvert, 26, of Milton, New Hampshire.
Vachon was declared dead at the scene. Cooper-Boisvert was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, King said.
Cooper-Boisvert’s brother, Nate Cooper, posted on Facebook that she is in a coma in critical condition and has “severe life changing injuries.”
The sheriff’s office, along with Windham Police and the Maine State Police, are investigating the crash.
