CASCO — Norway Savings Bank is pleased to contribute $1,000 to Casco Days, set for July 25-27. Casco Days is one of the last all-volunteer fairs in Maine and has served as an enduring source of pride and community spirit since its inception in 1935.
The event features a midway with fair favorites like their food booth that includes handmade burgers and hand-squeezed lemonade, an antique Merry-Go-Round, a Ferris Wheel, games, prize and souvenir booths, a Beano tent, and entertainment. The event also hosts a fireworks show on opening night, a grand parade, a children’s parade, and a 4-mile road race.
“Casco Days is truly one of the last traditional, small-town fairs, run entirely by over 250 volunteers. Its impact has been felt by countless individuals and organizations over the decades as the proceeds from the fair benefit local charities,” said Erin Plummer, a Casco Day Fair Association member. “Casco Days represents the best of small-town Maine, volunteerism, and community pride. Continued support from local businesses like NSB help carry this Maine tradition into the future!”
NSB has been a $ 1,000-plus supporter of the event for nearly a decade.
“Casco Days delivers smiles, joy, and a sense of community to the area, its residents, and visitors,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “It’s got something for each person and, most importantly, a warm welcome and summer fun for all. We’re happy to play a small part in helping to present it each year.”
