AUGUSTA — The G.E.A.R. Parent Network is set to hold a virtual workshop, Success in Co-Parenting and Blending Families.
This no-cost event is set for 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, on Zoom. The workshop is designed to provide parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies needed to navigate the complexities of co-parenting and blending families.
Co-parenting and blending families can present unique challenges that require patience, understanding, and effective communication. This workshop aims to support parents in developing a cooperative approach that benefits both the children and the adults involved. Topics to be covered include effective communication techniques, conflict resolution strategies, and building a supportive co-parenting relationship.
The workshop will be led by Shannan King, a nationally certified family support specialist and regional family support coordinator. Attendees can participate in interactive discussions, ask questions, and share space with other parents facing similar challenges.
Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link and additional details about the workshop.
To register, visit gearparentnetwork.org or call the G.E.A.R. Parent Network staff at 800-264-9224.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
