We had a few incorrect answers, but several dozen people correctly identified the statues in front of the Prince of Peace Parish’s Holy Family Church at 607 Sabattus St. in Lewiston. Our winner, Louise Michaud of Lewiston, was picked in a random drawing from all the correct entries. She told us she sees this nearly every day when visiting the church, and wrote in her submission: “The Mystery Photo is in the front of Holy Family Church on Sabattus Street in Lewiston, and it’s a statue of Our Lady of Fatima and the three children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francesco. And this particular statue of Francesco I donated after our first one was vandalized and broken. So now we have the full set again.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
