Some staff changes at the Rangeley Highlander have just recently taken place and I thought it would be nice for some of you readers and business owners to be kept apprised.
I thought it would be interesting for you to know a little bit more about who at the Maine Trust for Local News will be helping the Rangeley Highlander reach our community news goals.
For this issue I will introduce you to Matthew Guerette.
From now on, please call upon Matthew Guerette for all your advertising needs.

Born and raised in Maine, a graduate of Maine Central Institute (MCI) in Pittsfield, Matthew has been in sales for over 10 years. Part of that time, for the past several years, has been devoted to our sister newspapers, the Franklin Journal and Rumford Falls Times.
His favorite and most necessary hobby is home renovation. Now that’s a Mainer if I ever did know one!
He, his wife Karen, who grew up in New Sharon, and his son Kaden, a student at Mount Blue, live in Farmington.
When we last chatted, Matthew told me he is excited that he will now be covering all of Franklin County as opposed to just the southern portion.
Please help me to welcome him aboard and if in need of display print or digital advertising, please reach out to him directly at mguerette@metln.org Office 207-780-9056 Cell: 207-254-7373.

We believe it’s important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It’s a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others. Read more...
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
