AUBURN — Police arrested a local man Tuesday on an outstanding warrant and on several additional drug charges, according to a police news release posted on the Auburn (Maine) Police Department Facebook page.

Omar M. Omar, 29, of 21 Spring St. was arrested around 3 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for a felony domestic violence charge.

Police also drafted a search warrant for the address and seized 10 grams of crack; 34, 30 milligram Oxycodone pills; 9 grams of fentanyl; 5 grams of cocaine; a loaded Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun; digital scales and $2,155 in suspected drug proceeds.

The street value of the drugs seized is about $3,500, said Auburn Police Deputy Chief Tim Cougle.

Omar faces new charges of aggravated trafficking of fentanyl, aggravated trafficking of crack, aggravated trafficking of cocaine, aggravated trafficking of Oxycodone and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Omar was transported to Androscoggin County Jail and his bail was set at $10,000 on the new criminal charges.
