ANSWER: All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit MFGS, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to assisting individuals in discovering their family’s Franco history. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Excelsior Grange in Poland will honor Poland food bank volunteers with the Grange Community Service Award at the Grange Hall at 446 Harris Hill Road on Saturday, Aug. 17. There will be a supper at 6 p.m. for the volunteers and their family members with the presentation of the award following the meal.

Members of the public are also invited to attend to show support for the food bank volunteers. For planning purposes, members of the public must RSVP by Monday, Aug. 12 by calling 207-998-2301 if attending the meal. There is no charge. — Steve, Poland

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Hartford Heritage Society is gearing up for its annual Antique Auto Show. It will be held at the East Sumner Congregational Church on Route 219 in Sumner on Saturday, Aug. 31, with the rain date of Sept. 1 from 12 to 3 p.m. Small lunch choices will be on sale. There will also be free ice cream sundaes. There is no entry fees and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for Best of Show will receive a small prize.

We will also be hosting an open house at the J & O Irish Museum on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is for anyone that has not been able to tour the museum on Sundays during July and August, when we are normally open.
