BUCKFIELD — Shannon Eileen Kostovick and Scott Steven Violette would like to announce their marriage. The couple was married on June 15 at Faith Bible Chapel in Buckfield, Maine. The wedding was officiated by Pastor Dan Principe. A brunch reception immediately followed. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line wedding dress featuring all-over soft floral ivory lace appliques, delicate spaghetti straps, subtle V-back details, and a scalloped lace train. The bride carried a hand-created bouquet of wooden sunflowers, daisies, and eucalyptus.
Martha Lynch of Oxford served as Matron of Honor with Bridesmaid attendants. They wore tea-length sunflower yellow gowns in chiffon and each carried a mixed bouquet of sunflowers and daisies. Craig MacDonald of Buckfield served as Best Man. Groomsman attendants wore blue jeans, and blue plaid shirts with gray vests and bow ties. Their unique corsages were fishing lures.
Shannon is the daughter of Gerard and Rebecca Kostovick of Greenwood. She is the granddaughter of Agnes Kostovick of Scarborough and George and Judy Kostovick of Harrison and the late Thomas Moran of Norwich, CT, and the late Sylvia McCormack of Tamworth, NH. Scott is the son of Cheryl Steele of Bryant Pond, and Steve Violette of Frenchville, Maine. He is the grandson of the late Helen & Stanley Hendricks of Auburn, and Gabrielle & Francis Violette of Auburn.
Shannon is a graduate of Oxford Hills Christian Academy, Paris. She graduated magna cum laude from Thomas College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diversity in Education. She has been working in MSAD 17 school district as a Special Education Ed Tech II as well as at Hannaford in Oxford as a Front End Cashier.
Scott is a graduate of Buckfield High School, Buckfield. Scott received a certificate in Auto Collision Repair from Ohio Technical College and is currently an Auto Collision Repair Technician with Lee Auto in Auburn, Maine. Scott served in the United States Army from 2006-2011 with one tour to Iraq. He was Honorably Discharged as a Specialist.
After a honeymoon along the eastern seaboard, the couple will reside in Buckfield, Maine.
