SATURDAY MORNING LAUNCH
Third time was not the charm for the Saturday morning launch. The 6 a.m. launch was canceled due to fog again but at least three balloons still inflated on the ground.
FRIDAY EVENING LAUNCH
Balloons did not fly Friday morning due to foggy skies but many inflated on the ground for attendees to enjoy at Simard-Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston. Windy conditions on the field hindered the 6 p.m. launch, with many pilots electing to stay grounded. Two balloons, ‘Flower Power’ and ‘Tailwinds’ successfully launched.
