DEAR SUN SPOTS: Is there anyone in the Wilton area who repairs generators? — George, Wilton
ANSWER: Start with contacting Electrical Systems of Maine Inc. (ESM) in Auburn (https://electricalsystemsofmaine.com/generators/, 783-7126). They service Generac stand-by and portable generators. If your generator is a different brand, the company may still be able to help you or direct you to someone who can.
Flanders Electric in Norway (https://generatorsmaine.com/, 743-6526) is another option.
If you have the paperwork that came with the generator, there should be a toll-free number you can call for assistance if you need more information.
Readers, if you have any other generator companies in the readership area to recommend, please let us know.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are always so helpful. I enjoy drinking smoothies and buy smoothie packets called Fresh Success in four flavors, strawberry, banana, chocolate and orange, all sold by Market Basket and Walmart. They are so good, just delicious.
For some reason, the company has stopped selling the chocolate flavor. I wrote a letter to the company but haven’t gotten a response. Concord Foods in Brockton, Massachusetts, is the address listed on the envelope packets, but there is not a telephone number. I was wondering if you could look up the phone number for Concord Foods. I just want to know why the chocolate flavor is not sold any more. It is so yummy. — No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: When I looked up Fresh Success, I saw many references to Chocolate Banana Smoothie packets, but not plain chocolate. They are sold at Walmart, Hannaford, Market Basket and on Amazon. The phone number for Concord Foods is 1-508-580-1700.
I also want to share this tip. I buy a canister of vanilla-flavored Garden of Life Protein and Greens powder at Walmart (about $18 for 18 servings) then add almond milk, a frozen banana, and a couple tablespoons of cacao powder, and some natural peanut butter.
Sometimes I switch it up by adding frozen berries instead of the chocolate and peanut butter. It really is good either way and is what I have for breakfast most mornings.
