HIRAM — Join Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District on Friday, September 20 from 3-5 p.m. for a tour of our Food Forest Project at the Tenmile River Demonstration Forest, located on the Hiram/Brownfield town line! Project Manager Michele Windsor will guide a “walk ’n talk” style tour along our new “Food Forest” trail and talk about the native food crop plantings we’re establishing and how agroforestry contributes to the forest’s ecological diversity and climate resiliency. Information about wild native foraging plants will also be included.

This event is free, but participants are asked to please register by visiting our website at oxfordcountyswcd.org/workshops. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 19.
