I am urging everyone to reelect Mana Abdi to the Maine House of Representatives from District 95 in Lewiston.
She is running against a well-known opponent, Lee Clement, who failed to get reelected to the Lewiston City Council after much negativity surrounding him reported in local news.
In contrast, Mana Abdi has worked hard on a supplemental budget that is invested in Maine people building on a historic, fiscally responsible budget last year.
The supplemental budget included much storm damage relief, increased money for affordable housing, expanded child care access, and support for essential mental and public health services.
With that, Maine still finished out the year with a $93.5 million surplus.
In the aftermath of the Lewiston tragedy, Mana Abdi helped pass legislation to enhance gun safety and to prohibit paramilitary extremists from conducting training designed to sow chaos and violence.
We should reelect Rep. Mana Abdi to move us forward.
