HALLOWELL — Northbridge Companies, offering senior living communities across New England, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Co-founders Jim Coughlin and Wendy Nowokunski commemorated the milestone by touring all 18 Northbridge Communities, according to a news release.
The celebration featured a fundraising effort for Northbridge’s Compassionate Caregiver Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to provide short-term financial assistance to Northbridge associates in times of crisis. To date, the fund has provided support to more than 100 associates.
The first stop of the Northbridge celebration happened at Granite Hill Estates in Hallowell, where a blueberry-themed party featured music, dancing and speeches.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
