DEAR SUN SPOTS: I know your readers will be able to help me with this question. I am hosting a high school-age exchange student for the school year and he just loves soccer.
Unfortunately, his high school is unable to put him on its team as they have more than enough players already. Are there any soccer leagues in the area that would welcome a very enthusiastic player to join them? Any suggestions would be most welcome. Please call 576-5185 and leave a message. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. — David, Auburn
ANSWER: Have you talked directly with the coaches, the guidance counselor, or class advisers? They may have access to many resources for your student. There might even be a coaching opportunity for him to work with younger players.
Contact the YMCA (https://alymca.org/ ) and Soccer Maine (https://www.soccermaine.com/ ) to see if they can assist.
Readers, please send in your ideas so we can help this soccer player feel welcome, needed, and allow him to keep doing something he loves.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have an old family Bible that needs to be rebound. Do you know of anyone who does this? I have not had any luck finding anyone. I really enjoy Sun Spots. You do a great job. Judy, Dixfield
