LEWISTON — Police are investigating another shooting downtown, where a vehicle was struck Tuesday night by a bullet on Pierce Street.

The driver was dropping off a friend on Pierce Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. when the car was struck by gunfire. The bullet penetrated and shattered the rear passenger window and exited the front passenger side of the window.

Police discovered a shell casing in the area of 110 Pierce St.

Initial reports indicate several males were seen fleeing the scene after the shooting.

Investigators continue to speak with witnesses and review surveillance footage from the area.
