I first voted in 1976 when I was 18. I have been a union member and Rumford Mill employee for almost 47 years, having been an officer in the union and even a delegate for Mike Dukakis as the Democratic nominee for president of the U.S.
Now I know in my heart that the party’s agenda was not the same as my father’s Democrats. Now it is right in our face. I’m no longer a member of the Democrat party.
I will be fully supporting Joe Martin for state Senate and folks like him. These folks practice fiscal responsibility and are for the working people.
Joe supported the mill workers in the “86” strike. Joe has a common-sense approach and is a natural leader. He has been a successful business owner.
He is not afraid of hard work, and he would work very hard for the people of this district and Maine.
Edward Bulger, Rumford
