FARMINGTON — Four Mt. Blue players netted goals in a season-opening 4-1 KVAC boys soccer victory over Oxford Hills on Thursday.
Agusti Garcia, Nate Zeliger, Stevie Davis, and Lincoln Tierney each scored for the Cougars (1-0). Garcia, Zeliger and Kaden Smith had one assist apiece. Kooper Keller made seven stops in goal.
Brady Roy set up Connor Doyle in the first half for the lone Vikings (0-1) goal. Goalie Cooper Beaudoin made nine saves.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1, FREEPORT 0: Boje Kautz was responsible for the lone goal as the Patriots got past the Falcons at Gray.
RICHMOND 2, ST. DOMINIC 0: Ryhs Terry had a goal and an assist as the Bobcats won their season opener in Richmond.
Kenny Mechum also scored for Richmond (1-0), and Ben Fournier added an assist.
Richmond keeper David Edwards made six saves, and Riley Daigle had six for St. Dominic (0-1).
TEMPLE 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Frank Addison’s two goals paced the Bereans to a season-opening win over the Phoenix in Jay.
Zhouming Zhang and Yuyang Hu each added a goal for Temple (1-0), and goalie Noah Matthews made nine saves.
Wyatt Foss scored Spruce Mountain’s lone goal on a direct free kick from just outside the 18-yard box in the second half. Phoenix (0-1) goalkeeper Blake Gemelli stopped 11 shots.
OAK HILL 3, LISBON 2: Drew Hatala’s overtime goal, assisted by Brandon Plourde, lifted the Raiders to the season-opening win in Wales.
Brady Boone and Gavin Tardif also scored for Oak Hill (1-0), with Jordan Custonguay earning an assist.
Ben Richards and Cooper Story scored for Lisbon (0-1).
LAKE REGION 2, POLAND 1: Caleb Coombs broke a scoreless deadlock about 10 minutes into the second half, Dylan Blair added another goal a few minutes later, and Justen McCubrey made 10 saves as the Lakers held off the Knights in Poland.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Aisla Armandi found the back of the cage twice in the season opener as the Phoenix blanked the Falcons in Jay.
Armandi also had an assist. Ava Davis, Maddie Grimaldi and Alaina Kachnovich also had goals for Spruce Mountain (1-0). Grimaldi recorded a team-high two assists, and Aaylah Herrera set up another goal.
Phoenix goalie tandem Mallory Clark and Kyleigh Marcotte combined to stop two shots. Isabella Dupuis made 10 saves for Mountain Valley (0-1).
HAMPDEN 1, OXFORD HILLS 0: Kyra Kristal’s second-period goal was enough for the Broncos to notch a season-opening victory over the Vikings in Paris.
Goalkeeper Mabel Hawkes stopped five shots for Hampden (1-0), while Kaya Smith made three saves for Oxford Hills (0-1).
BRUNSWICK 0, LEWISTON 0: The Blue Devils and the Dragons battled through four quarters and two overtime periods without either team finding the back of the cage in the season opener in Lewiston.
The teams battled back and forth throughout regulation. Brunswick (0-0-1) got stuck playing defense in overtime and had to hold off seven Lewiston (0-0-1) corners.
MESSALONSKEE 3, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Sophie Ventimiglia scored twice for the Eagles in their road win over the Red Eddies in Auburn.
Addie Hafford opened the scoring with a first-quarter goal for Messalonskee (1-0), then Ventimiglia added a goal in the second and another in the third.
Edward Little (0-1) goalies Sophia Gerry (six saves) and Ruby Harris (three) combined to stop nine shots. AJ Pettengill stopped three shots for the Eagles.
ST. DOMINIC 4, GREELY 0: Chloe Beauchesne and Emily Andrews scored two goals apiece as the Saints (1-0) won their season opener in Auburn.
Apply Labonte added an assist for St. Dom’s.
Greely is 0-1.
MT. BLUE 8, BANGOR 1: Morgan Kersey started the season with a bang, scoring four goals in the Cougars’ victory over the Rams in Farmington.
Kali Judkins added two goals for Mt. Blue (1-0), while Piper Wojcik and Reese Nye contributed a goal and an assist apiece. Avery Tinker, Ivey Rackliff, Grace Allen and Bree Griffin each had an assist.
Ava Fortine scored Bangor’s (0-1) goal, and goalkeeper Haley Hall made 12 saves.
GIRLS SOCCER
POLAND 2, LAKE REGION 0: Arianna Gammon ended a scoreless stalemate 10 minutes into the second half, boosting the Knights to a season-opening triumph over the Lakers in Poland.
Leksi Langevin assisted on Gammon’s goal. Ten minutes later, Delilah Farrington added an insurance goal for Poland (1-0).
Knights goalie Olivia Rioux finished with five saves.
RANGELEY 2, DIRIGO 0: Sophie Nino scored her first goal of the season in the Cougars’ loss to the Lakers in Rangeley.
