Cody Cobb, Winthrop/Monmouth/Hall-Dale/Kents Hill, senior, RB/LB: Received All-Campbell Conference recognition for his play on both sides of the ball last year. Ran for 876 yards and 11 scores, and on defense recorded 69 tackles.

Dane Cousineau, Mt. Blue, senior, RB/LB: Multifaceted running back to led the Cougars in rushing (138 carries for 686 yards and 5 TDs) and receiving (22 catches, 254 yards, 2 TDs) last season. He also returned a kick for a score and made 75 tackles on defense.

Joseph Dube, Lewiston, senior, FB/DE: A standout on the defensive line since early in his career, Dube has taken on more offensive responsibilities over the years, going from a lineman to a tight end and now a running back. Caught 11 passes for 136 yards and ran the ball 21 times for 138 yards and three scores last season. On defense, he was in on 74 tackles, had five sacks and three force fumble, earning Class A North First Team honors.

Ben DuBois, Edward Little, senior, WR: Led the Red Eddies in receiving and scoring the past two seasons. Last year, he scored nine touchdowns and had nearly 700 yards receiving, and was voted Class A North first team.

Mason Henderson, Leavitt, junior, WR/DB: Looks capable of being the next in a long line of Leavitt speedsters who are given the ball in as many ways as possible, whether its passes, handoffs or jet sweeps. Also was a Campbell Conference second-teamer as a defensive back last year.

Hudson Lufkin, Dirigo, sophomore, QB/LB: Took over and quarterback early in his freshman year and led the Cougars on a nice playoff run. Was the team’s top runner (719 yards, 10 TDs) and threw for 933 yards and seven more scores.

Damon Martin, Poland, junior, QB/DB: Elusive, fast and a threat to score every time he touches the ball. “Damon has an acceleration not many people have,” Knights coach Seth Johnson said. Martin is taking over the starting quarterback spot and had shown an ability to run for big yards but also to find and connect with open receivers. Also a playmaker on defense, he returned two ofh is five interceptions for scores in 2023.

Brayden Murch, Oxford Hills, junior, wide receiver: A big, athletic target at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. Named Class A North first-team receiver after catching 46 passes for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns last year. Has spent the offseason attending camps around the country, expect even more production this season.

Jeffrey Randall, Lewiston, senior, RB/LB: Can and has done a little of everything for the Blue Devils during his career. Rushed for 525 yards and five scores last year. He also moved over to QB, where he played earlier in his career, and threw for 304 yards and two scores. Also tallied three tackles for loss and intercepted two passes.

Keegan Reny, Leavitt, senior, TB/LB: Found a way to get on the field and contribute to last year’s state championship team: switch to tight end. He excelled there, but has switched back to running back, where he will be one of the Hornets’ main ball carriers.

Malaki Sparks, Oxford Hills, junior, RB/LB: One of three returning offensive starters for the Vikings, but this year he’ll be playing running back instead of offensive line. Also being counted on to anchor Oxford Hills’ young defense.
