DEAR SUN SPOTS: Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish is planning its 50th Anniversary Christmas by the Lake Fair on Nov. 23 at Saint Philip Church, 2365 Turner Road in Auburn.

We need small pine cones (not the long ones) to put on our beautiful Christmas wreaths. If you have some, or know someone who does, please call the office at 782-8096, or they can be dropped off at the office behind Sacred Heart Church on Western Avenue in Auburn. Thank you very much! — Deborah, no town

ANSWER: Since the white pine cone and tassel is the state flower, you should be gifted with plenty of pine cones to make those wreaths extra lovely! Let me know if you need anything else to make your fundraiser a big success.
