I was pleased to read that state Rep. Mike Lajoie is running for reelection in Lewiston District 96.
I have known Mike for years. Lajoie, a man of integrity and honesty, has served the city of Lewiston and Maine in many capacities: Lewiston firefighter and fire chief, as well as a city councilor, council president and state representative.
Mike’s time as an Army veteran gives him insight on veterans’ issues. He promotes education.
Mike recently served on the new Lewiston Senior Advisory Board. He supports more senior housing and adding more affordable housing.
He enjoys giving back to his community. He serves on the board of directors of the Franco Center. He is a volunteer for the American Red Cross of Maine, to name a few.
All the above make him the best candidate to represent District 96 and Lewiston.
I hope people thank him by voting to reelect him on Nov. 5.
Diane Grandmaison, Lewiston
