TURNER — Reese Bilodeau scored her first varsity goal as the Leavitt girls soccer team defeated Gardiner 3-2 in the season opener for both teams.

Michaela Harrington and Brooke Boutaugh also scored for Gardiner (1-0), and Addie DuBois added an assist. Keeper Hailey Welch made 10 saves.

Katie Berard and Sophia Marrone (penalty kick) scored for Gardiner (0-1). Maggie Blais made five saves in goal.

OAK HILL 1, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Carlee Austin’s first-half goal made the difference as the Raiders won their season opener in Wales.

Aikaterini Karamousadak had 12 saves in goal for Oak Hill (1-0), while Tyoaka Hodgkin stopped seven shots for Spruce Mountain (0-1).

MARANACOOK 3, MT. ABRAM 0: Phoebe Bell scored twice as the Black Bears won their season opener in Readfield.

Hope Webb also scored for Maranacook (1-0), while Caroline Harper had an assist.

Maranacook keeper Devyn Eliason had four saves, while Jany Pepin had 15 saves for Mt. Abram (0-1).

BOYS SOCCER

GARDINER 6, LEAVITT 0: Kian Alves had a hat trick and assist as the Tigers won their season opener in Gardiner.

Brady Peacock scored twice for Gardiner (1-0), while Chase Kanaris had a goal and two assists and Logan Cote added an assist. Keeper Sean Dunn made two saves for Gardiner, which out-shot Leavitt (0-1), 38-4.

MT. ABRAM 3, MARANACOOK 1: The defending Class C champion Roadrunners opened the season with a victory over the Black Bears in Readfield.

Kaiden Longley, Killian Pillsbury and Bruce Cote netted goals for Mt. Abram (1-0), while Ash Rollins, Andrew Rother and Walker Wolfe each had an assist. Goalie Logan Dube stopped seven of the eight shots he faced.

Cam Jones scored Maranacook’s (0-1) goal in the first half. Black Bears goalkeeper Grant Walters finished with 10 saves.

FIELD HOCKEY

OAK HILL 1, BOOTHBAY 0: Alainna Prozzo’s fourth-quarter goal sent the Raiders to victory in their season opener at Wales.

Olivia French assisted on Prozzo’s goal. Ella Martin made seven saves in goal for Oak Hill (1-0).

Ivory Cody stopped two shots for Boothbay (0-1).

LISBON 9, TELSTAR 0: Riley Hoyle paced the Greyhounds (1-0) in their season-opening victory over the Rebels (0-1) in Lisbon.

Hoyle scored four goals and assisted on another. Alivia Saunders added one goal and two assists for Lisbon. Melanie Simmons, Delina Daigle, Pelle O’Kane and Lauren Vella scored one goal apiece, while Brynn Chase and Avia Russo each had an assist.

Telstar goalie Cadie Campbell made 28 assists.
