As a Democrat, I am enthusiastically supporting Congressman Jared Golden again this year in his quest for reelection.
Jared is an independent thinker who bases his decisions on what he feels is in the best interest of the people of the Second District. I don’t always agree with his positions on issues, but I do know that he arrives at his positions in a thoughtful and pragmatic way.
In a country that is increasingly polarized, I am glad that we have a person like Jared Golden representing us in Congress. I am thankful to be a member of a “big tent” party that embraces not only progressive Democrats, but independents, disaffected Republicans and moderate Democrats like him.
