Rep. Kristen Cloutier is a true champion for the children and families of Lewiston. Her continued advocacy is needed in Augusta.
Her accomplishments include introducing and passing legislation to provide grants for family caregivers who may have to forego income in order to care for loved ones.
She worked hard to get $10 million to Mainers experiencing homelessness, as well as create a more transparent process for reporting known lead paint hazards in housing — helping alleviate issues that are affecting people right here in our city.
She worked over several months helping to craft Maine’s Paid Family and Medical Leave law, taking effect in 2026. A recent study showed the positive impact family medical leave can have on babies, specifically fewer cases of deadly respiratory infections like respiratory syncytial virus in babies eight weeks old and younger.
She is a leader who we are fortunate to have in our corner.
