AUGUSTA — Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is looking for additional sites to clean up on Landowner Appreciation Day, set for Sunday, Sept. 15.
Each year since 2013, volunteers and game wardens have picked up 36,000 to more than 200,000 pounds of trash including 1,000-2,000 tires on 100-plus sites.
Those who own property where illegal dumping has occurred, and would like it to be considered as one of its cleanup sites this fall, can email [email protected].
