DEAR SUN SPOTS: My wife and I were having breakfast at Roy’s in Auburn Tuesday, Sept. 3. When we were finishing our breakfast, the server came over and said that a magical fairy had paid our complete bill.
We looked around but didn’t see anyone we knew and asked the server if they were still in the restaurant.
She politely answered, “Maybe they are, and maybe they’re not!”
We just want to thank whoever it was who treated us to breakfast, and hopefully they see this letter. — No name, Minot
ANSWER: What fun! These little restaurant angel stories always brighten everyone’s day. Thank you to those who send them in, and to those who make them happen.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: From time to time I see in Sun Spots that folks often need assistance to help with clean-outs and downsizing.
I have someone that I would highly recommend to all you readers. Earlier in the summer Josh Cash of Creative Cleanouts helped me clean out a large basement and two storage sheds. We worked together and were able to donate, recycle and resell quite a bit, keeping many reusable items out of the landfill.
He came up with a plan, kept me motivated, showed up when he said he would, and got the project done at a very reasonable cost. He was so kind, respectful, and fun to work with as we went through piles and piles of stuff.
I’m so proud to have an empty basement now and efficient, organized sheds. I never could have accomplished all this without him! Contact Josh at 210-5771 or Josh.cash2010@yahoo.com. — Claire, no town
ANSWER: There’s nothing like a stellar recommendation from a reader and worth more than gold. I really depend on all of you to make Sun Spots and the famous Rolodex the best it can be. Keep up the good work!
