08/31/2024 0644hrs, Deputy Wacome conducted a traffic stop on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon. As a result of the stop Mary Jane Constantine (42) of Jay was charged with Operating as a Habitual Offender.  Also charged was the owner of the car Norman Lewis (40) of Chesterville for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property for having a stolen inspection sticker from Lewiston.

08/31/2024 0817hrs, Sgt. Sholan investigated a theft of a sign complaint at the Rangeley Region Sports Shop in Rangeley.

08/31/2024 0854hrs, Sgt. Close received a 911 call at a residence on Mt. Blue Pond Road in Avon. This was an accidental dial. 08/31/2024 1022hrs, Sgt. Shola received a 911 call at a residence on Main Street in Kingfield. This was an accidental dial.

08/31/2024 1200hrs, Sgt. Close received a 911 call on an ATV Tail in Twp. E. This source of the call came from a person on an ATV and was accidental.

08/31/2024 2013hrs, Sgt. Close received a complaint of two vehicles being driven in an aggressive manner on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon. Both vehicles and occupants were located at the Dollar Store parking lot in New Sharon.  As a result of the stop Treyvon Cote (18) of Farmington was charged with Minor Consuming Liquor, and Kaleb Hutchinson (20) of Farmington was charged with Operating Without a License.  Deputies Brann and Maccione assisted with the stop.

08/31/2024 2113hrs, Deputy Brann received a 911 call at a residence on the Starks Road in New Sharon. This was an accidental dial.

08/31/2024 2144hrs, Deputy Elmes received a complaint of what appeared to be young children walking on the Avon Valley Road in New Vineyard. He was unable to locate the children.

09/01/2024 0842hrs, Sgt. Sholan investigated a criminal mischief complaint at a residence on the Rangeley Road in Coplin Plt. It was reported that someone had thrown mud on the complainant’s car.

09/01/2024 1041hrs, Deputy Frost received a 911 call at a residence on Kendall Farm Trail in Rangeley. This was an accidental dial.

09/01/2024 1200hrs, Sgt. Sholan investigated what turned out to be a civil issue out of South Dakota where the complainant had purchased a trucking company in that state but one of the trucks were now in Maine.

09/01/2024 1338hrs, Deputy Frost investigated a Facebook complainant where the complainant had pictures taken and placed on a group site she did not belong to.

09/01/2024 1350hrs, Deputy Wacome received a 911 call on Barker Road in New Vineyard. This was an accidental crash detection dial where a cell phone fell off from a moving vehicle.

09/01/2024 1541hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a 911 call at a residence on King Road in Eustis. This was an accidental dial.

09/01/2024 1603hrs, Deputy Couture assisted a citizen in Temple with questions about car seats.

09/01/2024 1629hrs, Deputy Clement investigated a parking lot accident at the Rangeley Inn in Rangeley. A 2022 Honda Civic was being parked by Edward Seperack (74) of Shelton CT when the operator failed to place the vehicle in park, causing it to roll into a legally parked 2006 Yamaha Motorcycle owned by Michael Kosticzak (54) of Pembroke Mass.

09/01/2024 1808hrs, Deputy Clement responded to the scenic overlook on the Rumford Road in Rangeley where it was reported that a man there was intoxicated. The man was identified, it was determined his vehicle was disabled and he was waiting for assistance.

09/01/2024 2243hrs, Deputy Couture responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on the Rangeley Road in Avon. Upon arrival it was noted that no crime had been committed, although one of the people there fled on foot from the scene because he was on bail conditions.  A search with K-9 Rahka was unable to locate the person. Deputy Brann assisted at the scene.

09/02/2024 0023hrs, Deputy Clement responded to a business alarm on Bald Mountain Road in Rangeley. This was a false alarm.

09/02/2024 0747hrs, Deputy Wacome investigated a threatening complaint on Lambert Hill Road in Strong.

09/02/2024 1044hrs, Deputy Gray investigated a burglary in progress at Rangeley Art and Antiques in Rangeley.  As a result of the investigation three juveniles were charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Grey was assisted by Border Patrol

09/02/2024 1105hrs, Deputy Wacome received a 911 call at a residence on Archer Road in Chesterville. A check of the residence did not reveal anything.

09/02/2024 1351hrs, Deputy Gray responded to a car vs. deer accident on Birches Beach Road in Rangeley Plt. Robert Edgerton (67) of NH was driving a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 when the collision occurred.

09/03/2024 0116hrs, Deputy Clement responded to a car vs. deer accident on the Pond Road in Strong. Quinn Mumma (21) of Farmington was driving a 2011 Chevy Pickup when the collision occurred.

09/03/2024 0832hrs, Deputy Frost responded to Day Mountain School in Strong regarding assisting them with an issue there.

09/03/2024 0936hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call at Kibby Wind Farm in Kibby Town. The source of the call was not located.

09/03/2024 1204hrs, Deputy Gray responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Walker Road in Phillips.  Beverley Adams (69) of Farmington was backing a 2020 Ford Ranger from an intersection onto the Walker Road and backed into a utility pole.

09/03/2024 1211hrs, Deputy Frost investigated an issue regarding the sale of a vehicle at a residence on the Ridge Road in Chesterville. This turned out to be a civil issue.

09/03/2024 1342hrs, Deputy Frost investigated a complaint of trespassing at a residence on the Hennessey Road in Industry.

09/03/2024 1738hrs, Deputy Couture received a 911 call at Dummer’s Beach Campground in Weld. This was an accidental dial.

09/03/2024 1759hrs, Deputy Couture investigated a suspicious incident regarding some men attempted to move property on the Basin Road in Carthage.  This was a civil issue.

09/03/2024 1943hrs, Deputy Couture received a 911 call on State Park Road in Rangeley. This was an accidental dial.

09/03/2024 2100hrs, Deputy Elmes responded to a residential alarm on Bald Mountain Road in Rangeley. This was a false alarm.

09/03/2024 2232hrs, Deputy Couture received a 911 call at a residence on Shady Lane in Strong. This was an accidental dial.

09/04/2024 0640hrs, Deputy Gray arrested Mathew Maxim (30) of Lewiston on a Warrant after he turned himself in at the jail.

09/04/2024 1337hrs, Deputy Gray received a 911 call on Jim Pond Road in Jim Pond Twp. This was an accidental dial by the caller.

09/04/2024 1529hrs, Deputy Maccione responded to a report of a mailbox being run over by a vehicle. The complainant suspected the man driving was intoxicated.  As a result of the investigation Roger Fournier (79) of Industry was arrested for OUI and transported to jail.

09/04/2024 1630hrs, Deputy Couture investigated a complaint where a person found a bunch of bones and an old coat off the Ramsdell Road in New Vineyard. Investigation revealed that the bones were most likely animal bones.  The rest was trash left behind by whoever left the bones.

09/04/2024 1635hrs, Deputy Couture received a request for a welfare check to be conducted at a residence on the Industry Road in Industry. Couture checked on the person and suggested to the complainant that they reach out to adult protective services. 

09/04/2024 1649hrs, Deputy Elmes investigated a report of suspicious activity at a residence on West Kingfield Road in Kingfield.

09/04/2024 1713hrs, Deputy Couture investigated an online scam attempt at a residence on Foster Hill Road in Freeman Twp. The caller received an email that threatened to take over all his electronic devices if they did not pay up 2000 dollars.

09/04/2024 2259hrs, Deputy Elmes received a request for a welfare check to be conducted at a residence on Eustis Ridge Road in Eustis. This turned out to be a mental health issue where the person needed to be transported to FMH.  Northstar was request to transport.

09/05/2024 0625hrs, Deputy Gray investigated what turned out to be a civil complaint on Russell Street in Phillips where it was reported that a town contractor had accidentally mowed over a tree that was planted by the complainant.

09/05/2024 0755hrs, Deputy Morgan received a complaint of dog running loose in the area of the cemetery on West Freeman Road in freeman Twp. The dog looked like it had not eaten for a while.  He was unable to locate.

09/05/2024 0858hrs, Deputy Gray investigated an identity theft complaint at a residence on Toothaker Island in Rangeley Plt.

09/05/2024 1010hrs, Deputy Gray conducted a school visit at the Stratton Elementary School in Eustis.

09/05/2024 1027hrs, Deputy Morgan and Sgt. Sholan responded to an emergency mental health complaint at a residence on Bradbury Road in Industry.  The person there was transferred to FMH for an evaluation.

09/05/2024 1150hrs, Deputy Gray investigated a vandalism complaint at a residence on Main Street in Kingfield.

09/05/2024 1237hrs, Deputy Gray investigated a complaint where a car was on the property of the complainant. The owner of the car was identified.

09/05/2024 1707hrs, Deputy Maccione received a request to investigate a possible break in at a camp on Berry Mills Road in Carthage.

09/05/2024 1758hrs, Deputy Morgan served a harassment order on behalf of Hallowell Police to a person at a residence on Main Street in Kingfield.

09/05/2024 1606hrs, Deputy Brann investigated what turned out to be a civil property line dispute off the Lake Road in Wilton.

09/05/2024 1940hrs, Deputy Maccione conducted a traffic stop on George Thomas Road in New Sharon. As a result of the stop Joshua Hayes (37) of New Sharon was charged with Operating with a Suspended Registration and issued summons for Failure to Produce Evidence of Insurance, Failure to register Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Display a Valid Inspection Certificate.  The vehicle was towed by Dutch Gap Auto.

09/06/2024 0707hrs, Deputy Wacome took a complaint of a lost yellow Lab and a gray Pitbull on Winter Hill Road in Carthage.

09/06/2024 0902hrs, Deputy Wacome received a request for a welfare check to be conducted at a residence on Anson Valley Road in New Vineyard. 

09/06/2024 1022hrs, Sgt. Sholan received a complaint of a vehicle that crashed near the complainant’s residence on the Barker Road in New Vineyard that went unreported by those involved.

09/06/2024 1353hrs, Deputy Wacome took a complaint of a lost firearm from a residence on the Industry Road in Industry.

09/06/2024 1512hrs, Sgt. Close investigated an incident involving kids on a bus at Mt. Abram school district.  

09/06/2024 1947hrs, Deputy Brann received a request for a welfare check to be conducted at a residence on West Kingfield Road in Kingfield. The Person to be checked was not located and possibly out of state.

09/06/2024 2051hrs, Sgt Close conducted a traffic stop on South Strong Road in Strong. As a result of the stop, the driver Jesse Robbins (36) of Kingfield was charged with Operating with Suspended Registration and Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine. The investigation also led to the residence of Felicia Bell (40) of Strong where she was charged with Unlawful possession of Methamphetamine.

09/06/2024 2321hrs, Deputy Brann investigated a harassment complaint at a residence on Flag Star Drive in Strong.

Deputies also conducted 10 elder checks, 16 building checks and responded to 13 false 911 calls.
