The recent Donald Trump incident at Arlington National Cemetery is just another example of the disregard for laws/rules this man represents.
Upon arrival with the families, they were all told the rules against picture taking or political campaign activity. Regardless, they forged ahead and did what they wanted to do.
Trump’s claim — that the families asked him to do this to honor the soldiers who died during the Afghan withdrawal — is moot to me. I would also add that the family members aren’t any more law-abiding, as I suspect that once aware of the restrictions, they didn’t offer to call this off.
The bottom line is, Trump didn’t do this for the families, he did this for himself, as usual. Creating, once again, false self-praise.
This man’s moral compass is so distorted, that restrictions don’t apply to him, he just wants people out of his way.
Buyer beware.
