I have heard the acronym DEI used as a smear or criticism, but what it actually means is diversity, equality and inclusion.
When used as a smear it means that unless one is a straight, white male, they are not qualified to be a leader or to hold a political office. It infers that if one does rise high on the ladder of success or win a political race it must have been by some devious means.
Women, people of color, those from immigrant heritage or who are not Christians, are seen as not qualified in this country because they are not the almighty straight, white man. That’s what the mud slinging is all about — another means of putting people down in their place.
DEI is what America is all about; we are a diverse nation that honors equality and inclusiveness.
It’s out with the old and in with the new.
People should vote Blue.
