This pups name is HeyU. You’re probably thinking, “what an odd name for a dog”. He’s called that because he is deaf. HeyU is our oldest dog at the shelter; he’s around 7 years old. HeyU came to RPC just before Christmas in 2023, after his owner suddenly passed away. Although it’s difficult losing your human, HeyU has adapted to life at the shelter just fine. He sure does love the staff and enjoys sleeping on his big dog bed with several blankets because he is not a fan of the cold. We think he is a pointer/lab mix, and he weighs around 60 pounds. He walks well on a leash, rides well in the car, and loves snuggling under a blanket in this cold winter weather! HeyU is looking forward to a warm summer with his new humans!
