Laurel Libby recently sent a long letter to her constituents, one full of her admirable relationship with her grandmother and many careful descriptions of the weaknesses and inequities of the present health care “system” in our country. I felt she was writing about situations I, too, have either experienced or heard about from friends and family.
However, nowhere in this lengthy piece does she offer what I most wanted to see: solutions. There was no mention of how she would change things or how she would pay for whatever system she suggested, how it would be administered, etc. She calls for a return to a simpler past, but life has become more complex and the challenges of 2024 cannot be met with that mindset.
I am voting for Dan Campbell because he has already been active in our community living out solutions to today’s problems.
