JAY — Abby McCarty scored twice to lead the Mt. Abram girls soccer team to a 5-0 shutout victory over Spruce Mountain on Wednesday.

Bailey Haines had a goal and an assist for the Roadrunners (3-2), while Autumn Pulk and Cheyanne Allen also scored and McKenzie Contreras added an assist. Goalkeeper Jany Pepin made three saves.

Tyoaka Hodgkin made 10 saves for the Phoenix (0-4).

HALL-DALE 5, OAK HILL 1: Marie Benoit scored four goals as the Bulldogs stayed undefeated with the win in Wales.

Fiona Breslin added a goal for Hall-Dale (3-0-1), and Julia Nott had an assist. Sierra Gibbons made five saves in goal.

Carlee Austin scored for Oak Hill (1-3), assisted by Eliana Smith. Goalkeeper MacKenzie Vattaso made 19 saves.

MARANACOOK 2, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Kate Parker and Hali Isaacson each tallied goals in a victory for the Black Bears in Rumford.

Phoebe Bell and Hope Bell each had assists for Maranacook (4-0-1). Devyn Eliason had four saves to secure the shutout.

Kylee Pelletier had 18 saves for the Falcons (0-5-0).

FIELD HOCKEY

WINTHROP 9, TELSTAR 0: Madeline Wagner had a hat trick as the Ramblers won in Bethel.

Grace Folsom and Kylee Mansir scored two goals apiece for Winthrop (4-0), while Olivia Huri and Sophia Shuman added one apiece. Evelyn Mortimer had three assists and Huri one. Goalie Cyara Harriman was not called upon to make any saves.

Taejyah Lego stopped 12 shots for Telstar (0-5).

LISBON 1, OAK HILL 0: Freshman Julia Quagliaroli scored the only goal to lift the Greyhounds (3-1) to a win over the Raiders (2-3) in Lewiston.

Brynn Chase set up Quagliaroli’s second-quarter goal. Lisbon goalie Sophia Cote earned the shutout with two saves.

BOYS SOCCER
TEMPLE ACADEMY 10, DIRIGO 1: Addison Frank and Simon Montoro each scored three goals for the Bereans in a game that was called at halftime due to darkness.

Alexander Tompkins, Yuyang Hu, Ian Stevens and Noah Matthews also scored for Temple (4-0). Goalie Sam Frank made two saves.

Colby Averrill scored Dirigo’s (0-3) goal, and Andrew Harmon had five saves.
