Frank M. Hacker of Frye Street, Lewiston, is going to give the city of Lewiston a handsome watering trough in place of the trough that was wrecked when an automobile crashed into it some time ago. He made the offer to Mayor Brann and the Lewiston aldermen accepted it Wednesday night.
Mr. Hacker is a great lover of horses and feels that a watering trough is much needed in hospital square. No definite plans have been made yet as to the type of trough, but these will be arranged soon and work is to start within a week.
