DEAR SUN SPOTS: Come join the fun as members of the Lisbon United Methodist Church at 14 School St. in Lisbon Falls welcome fall with our Hello Fall festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is a family-friendly event that will include a scavenger hunt, a scarecrow contest and making fairy houses for Lisbon’s Beaver Park’s Fairy House Trail.
At 11:30, a lunch of sweet Italian sausage subs and hot dogs will be served. A bake sale with lots of delicious pies and other fall favorites such as pumpkin whoopie pies and pumpkin bread will also be available.
Photo opportunities with pumpkins, mums, cornstalks and hay bales will be offered as well.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The University of Southern Maine Occupational Therapy Department is offering A Matter of Balance class for older adults at University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College community clinic at 51 Westminster St. in Lewiston.
This is a class focused on managing concerns about falls. It is not designed as an exercise class, but for people who have a fear of falling, for people who restrict their activity, and for people who are trying to start an exercise plan.
The class will be held Wednesdays from 10 to noon starting Oct. 2 and will run for eight total sessions.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish is planning its 50th Anniversary Christmas by the Lake Fair on Nov. 23 at St. Philip Church, 2365 Turner Road in Auburn.
