HIRAM — Olivia Austin scored two goals and set up another as the Poland girls soccer team defeated Sacopee Valley, 5-1, on Thursday.
Phoebe Paradis, Graceyn Camire and Emma Jones also had goals for the Knights (3-2).
Alice Naratil scored Sacopee Valley’s (0-4) goal off a corner kick by Annabelle Emery.
EDWARD LITTLE 1, SKOWHEGAN 1: The Red Eddies and River Hawks played to a draw in Skowhegan.
Allie Frey scored for Skowhegan (3-1-1), assisted by Lauryn Moore, and Natalie Cooke made 11 saves in goal.
Jenna Shea scored for Edward Little (1-2-1), and goalie Lola Cunningham made four saves.
ST. DOMINIC 2, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Gabby Allen broke through on a partial breakaway and put in her own rebound to break a scoreless tie midway through the second half as the Saints prevailed in Old Orchard Beach.
Lauren Nauos added an insurance goal with five minutes to play.
Anna Theriault stopped all four shots she faced to secure the shutout. Vanessa Alley-Thayer recorded eight saves for Old Orchard Beach (1-4).
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Delphine Daniel tallied three goals to lead the Panthers (5-0) over the Patriots (2-2) in Gray.
Lyla Casey, Alicia Fontana and Caroline Matusovich also scored, while Emily Robbins had two assists and Delia Fontana one. Sadie Morgan made three saves for the shutout.
Hailey Carson stopped 11 shots for the Patriots.
LEWISTON 3, OXFORD HILLS 2: Addi Bilodeau scored two goals to lift the Blue Devils (1-4) to a win over the Vikings (2-2-1) in Lewiston.
Anna Courtmanche also scored a goal and Ella Beaudoin had an assist for Lewiston.
BOYS SOCCER
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 4, WINTHROP 1: Zane Foyt scored or assisted on all three of the Mustangs’ first-half goals as they seized control early against the Ramblers in Monmouth.
Foyt set up Bingham Abbott for a goal, and then he scored twice off assists from Bryce Fletcher, propelling Monmouth (4-1) to a 3-1 halftime advantage.
Jake Harmon added an unassisted goal in the second half. Monmouth coach Joe Fletcher said Harmon’s and Tyler Johnson’s midfield play was key to the Mustangs controlling possession.
Isaac Breau netted Winthrop’s only goal late in the first half. Ramblers (1-2-1) goalie Jaxon August stopped 17 shots and, Fletcher said, “made several outstanding saves to keep Winthrop within striking distance.”
Monmouth’s Lewis Lamoreau had three saves.
RICHMOND 3, BUCKFIELD 0: Three Bobcats scored in a road win over the Bucks in Buckfield.
Ben Fournier, Kenny Mechum and Zander Steele netted goals for Richmond (4-0), while Brady Alexander recorded an assist and goalie David Edward stopped three shots.
Buckfield (2-2-1) goalkeeper Cayden Durgin finished with 12 saves.
POLAND 9, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Nick Jamo had a hat truck as the Knights won in Poland.
Caleb Googins, Oliver Olson, Mason Fuller, Tucker Bailey and Breck Langevin also scored for Poland (2-4), while Cohen Demuth, Googins, Olson and Fuller each had an assist. Poland’s remaining goal was an own goal. Goalkeeper Eliot Rioux made three saves.
Tyler Leighton scored for Sacopee Valley (0-4), and Chris Mitchell stopped 13 shots.
MT. ABRAM 4, LISBON 0: Four different Roadrunners players scored a goal in the victory over the Greyhounds in Salem Township.
Kaiden Longley, Chase Ross, Andrew Rother and Brennan Mitchell were Mt. Abram’s (3-1) goal scorers. Jamie Hering had two assists, and Max Dexter had one.
Logan Dube stopped three shots in goal for the Roadrunners, and Owen Cook stopped one.
EDWARD LITTLE 8, SKOWHEGAN 0: Christian Mazina and Lucas Guihomat led the Red Eddies with two goals apiece during the win in Auburn.
David Ngoma, Bode Kunas, Lourenco Santos and Khalid Mohamed each scored one goal for Edward Little (2-1-1).
Skowhegan (0-4) managed only one shot on goal.
FIELD HOCKEY
EDWARD LITTLE 3, OXFORD HILLS 1: Annabelle Lamontagne had a goal and an assist in the Red Eddies’ win in South Paris.
Kassidy Lobb and Marina Morgan also scored for Edward Little (2-2), and Carly Wang added an assist. Sophia Gerry had two saves in goal.
Lily Hammond scored the lone goal for the Oxford Hills (0-3), with Kayleigh Follansbee assisting. Kya Smith had five saves in goal.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/NYA 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Greta Tod, Lydia Trytek and Emma Bowden scored two goals apiece as the Patriots won in Kittery.
Kenlie Nadeau dished out four assists for Gray-New Gloucester/NYA (5-0), while Bowden and Abigail Lacombe had one each.
Eden Varney scored for Traip Academy (1-2).
