BANGOR — Michael Caron kicked a 37-yard field goal with 4.7 seconds left to give Lewiston a 10-7 victory over Bangor in Class A North football action Friday.

The Blue Devils, who improve to 2-0, had a chance earlier in the game to break the tie, but they fumbled the ball away on the Rams’ 1-yard line.

Caron also kicked a game-winning field goal last year against South Portland.

SOUTH PORTLAND 42, OXFORD HILLS 7: Easton Healy rushed for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead TD with 17.6 seconds remaining in the first half, and the Red Riots (3-0) kept their unbeaten record intact by defeating the winless Vikings (0-3) in Paris.

South Portland took advantage of a good break in the first quarter, gaining possession after a Red Riots punt hit the foot of an Oxford Hills player. Alex Horton eventually scored on a 25-yard run.

Oxford Hills tied the game in the second quarter on an 11-yard pass from Carter Wyman to Cameron Pulkkinen. The score was set up by a long pass from Wyman to Brady Delamater.

The Red Riots regained the lead just before halftime, however, when Healy found the end zone from the 4.

South Portland then started the second half with a long drive that Healy ended with a 17-yard run.

Connor Gerard added two short TD runs in the fourth quarter, and Christopher Salamone ripped off a 47-yard scoring run.

WELLS 54, LISBON 6: Dom Buxton scored four touchdowns in the first half as the Warriors (3-0) rolled past the Greyhounds (1-2) in Wells.

Buxton reached the end zone on runs of 3, 10 and 64 yards, then scored on a 52-yard hook-and-lateral with 2 seconds left in the half after Riley Murphy caught a short pass from Cal Moody.

Wells also scored on the final play of the first quarter – a 5-yard run by Eli Potter. Nate DeMauro, Sabin Piatek and Robert Stevens each added a TD run.

Lisbon avoided a shutout when Carson Savoy broke free for a 77-yard run in the fourth quarter.

OAK HILL 35, POLAND 22: Damon Martin had 10 completions for 209 yards and two touchdowns for Poland (0-3) in a loss to Oak Hill (2-1) in Poland.

Martin threw to Liam Fifield for a 75-yard TD in the second quarter, then connected with Fifield again in the third for a 26-yard TD. He also ran for a 14-yard touchdown in the fourth.
