MONMOUTH — Riley Smith scored four goals to pace the Monmouth Academy girls soccer team past Winthrop, 6-1 on Friday.
Kaitlyn Frost added one goal and assisted on two. Tarynn Keleher scored Monmouth’s (3-2) other goal, while Rileigh Chase and Annabelle Carlton each had an assist. Goalie Brooke King made eight saves.
Zion Armstrong scored Winthrop’s (3-2) only goal on a direct kick. Kylee Savage stopped 20 shots in goal for the Ramblers.
MT. ABRAM 7, OAK HILL 0: Evelyn Pepin scored twice as the Roadrunners won in Wales.
Bailea Haines, Jenna Osgood, Autumn Pulk and Abby McCarty also scored for Mt. Abram (4-2). Jany Pepin made four saves in goal.
MacKenzie Vattaso stopped seven shots for Oak Hill (1-4).
FIELD HOCKEY
HALL-DALE/MONMOUTH 10, TELSTAR 0: Three players had hat tricks as the Bulldogs won handily in Farmingdale.
Hannah Rauch had three goals and three assists for Hall-Dale/Monmouth (4-2), while Mira Skehan had three goals and an assist and Jade Graham netted three goals. Torie Tibbetts added a goal and two assists, and Faith McDougal assisted three times.
Taejyah Lego was credited with 44 saves for Telstar (0-6).
