LEWISTON — Marine Corps League, Central Maine Detachment 810, awarded scholarships to two high school seniors on May 25.

The Kevin Mitchell Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Lydia Chapman, an Edward Little High School senior. The presentation was made by Jane Mitchell, a member of the Marine Corps League, Central Maine Detachment 810 Auxiliary, as well as Maine Daughters of the American Revolution at a regular meeting of the League at the Armory on Central Avenue. Commandant Charlie Paul made the presentation.
The Leon Burgess Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Marguerite Shepard, a Lewiston High School senior. Paul made the presentation.
