The story and life experienced by Jeromy Bean-Thurlow (“Breaking the silence: A voice from the Deaf and hard of hearing community,” Sept. 22) touched a deep part of my soul. It made me realize how I have taken my voice for granted.
But even more, his explanation served to broaden my knowledge of life for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
My thanks to Jeromy for this clear and much-needed column. My heartfelt wish that a day in his life, as experienced recently, never happens again.
