AUBURN — Police and fire crews were on scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Center Street.
Auburn police Sgt. Nathan Westleigh said Zachary Barry, 21, of Lisbon Falls was traveling southbound on Center Street in his 2013 Hyundai around 1:30 p.m. when a 2011 Buick, driven by Churle Gowell, 50, of Litchfield, pulled out of a parking lot near Sam’s Italian Foods at 229 Center St.
The Buick entered the Hyundai’s path, causing the vehicles to crash, Westleigh said.
Gowell was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Barry and his one passenger complained of pain, but were not transported.
Police said there will be no charges in the crash.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
