U.S. Rep. Jared Golden has shown himself to first, be a person of high morals and integrity, and second, show political courage to stand up for his principles, such as admitting he was mistaken to support the use of assault rifles.
He still strongly supports the Second Amendment, but saw that the risk of carnage and destruction wreaked upon innocent children and others was not worth the supposed benefit.
Third, he works across the aisle. I do not always agree with his decisions, but they are always made in the best interests of his country and the people of Maine.
I encourage everyone to support Jared Golden to continue to represent all of us, not just those who voted for him.
We don’t need another member of Congress who follows their party like a puppet, with someone else pulling their strings.
