Why U.S. Rep. Jared Golden? Maybe that depends on which party one supports; shouldn’t it be what caliber person he is?
How does Jared represent his constituents? What kind of track record has he built in the four years he’s served this Maine district, and what are his priorities?
For example, he strongly supports women’s reproductive rights and legislation focused on our logging, lobstering and fishing industries.
He is endorsed by Maine’s largest labor union — a big deal.
Jared is bipartisan, working with both parties to address the needs of all Mainers. For some that’s not enough, as his decisions don’t always satisfy their personal expectations. Considering that Jared represents both conservative and progressive Mainers, which is the nature of this district, it’s remarkable that he walks that line so well.
Jared is a Democrat, a conservative one. Mostly he is fair and honest, with one political consideration — his people.
