TURNER — Jake Dening’s penalty kick in the second overtime lifted Leavitt to a 4-3 KVAC boys soccer victory over Erskine on Tuesday.
Dening’s PK goal, which came with two minutes left in the second OT, was the result of Serogzha Bezhenar being taken down in the 18-yard box.
Bezhenar scored Leavitt’s (2-6) first goal, and Tyler Mates added two for the Hornets, one late in the first half and the other midway through the second half. Bezhenar and Jacob Gibbs had assists for Leavitt, and goalies Alex Corey and Vanya Bezhenar each made six saves.
Will Adamson, Chase Larabee and Dominic Braun netted goals for the Eagles (3-5), while goalie Parker Studholme stopped nine shots.
WINTHROP 3, LISBON 0: Nick Wagner had two goals and an assist as the Ramblers won in Winthrop.
Keenan Libby also scored for Winthrop (2-4-2), while Isaac Breau added two assists. Jaxon August made three saves in goal.
Camden Therrien had 15 saves for Lisbon (0-7-1).
GIRLS SOCCER
MT. BLUE 8, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Alaya Smith and Lily Hastings scored two goals apiece to lead the Cougars past the Falcons on Rumford.
Natalee Orr, who scored one goal, and Nina Bogar each tallied a pair of assists for Mt. Blue (3-4). Kari Savage and Abby Dorr each contributed a goal and an assist, while Emma Embleton scored once and Rebekah Denio had an assist.
Mountain Valley (1-6-1) goalie Kloee Pelletier stopped five shots.
CAPE ELIZABETH 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Addie Miller and Hailey Gorman scored to lead the Capers (7-0-1) to a win over the Patriots (2-5-1) in Cape Elizabeth.
Heather Campbell and CC Duryee each were credited with an assist.
Isabelle Morelli scored in the final minute for the Patriots.
FIELD HOCKEY
CAPE ELIZABETH 1, POLAND 0: Clio Cook-Sharp scored three minutes into overtime to lift the Capers (1-5) over the Knights (1-6) in Poland.
Lulu Stoecklein made five saves for the shutout.
YARMOUTH 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/NYA 1: Madison Wiles had three goals and an assist to lead the Clippers (7-1) against the Patriots (7-1) in Yarmouth.
Celia Zinman added a goal and two assists, Erica O’Connor notched a goal and an assist, and Maya Nasveschuk also scored for Yarmouth.
Emma Bowden scored the Patriots’ goal.
