NORWAY — A home-based father-and-son software development and consulting company is looking to expand into commercial office space in the near future, according to Chief Operating Officer Noah Potts.
Noah and his father, Larry Potts, the founder and CEO of Technik Solutions Group, attended the Norway Planning Board meeting Sept. 26 to share the company’s plans.
The company operates from Noah Potts’ home at 214 Shedd Road.
Technik is looking to have an office in downtown Norway for its 12 employees who work remotely.
“We don’t really have clients come to us,” Noah said. “If anything, we travel to them. Most of our software consulting is remote.”
Larry Potts said Technik mostly helps engineering and architectural firms with anywhere from 50 to 800 employees in transitioning to a new enterprise retail planning system.
“They use a software that we support to operate their business. And we help them transition from their old system to a new one,” he said.
The board advised them to return when they find a commercial space in order to obtain a commercial building permit.
