Charlotte Nutt for House District 79 is the first political candidate sign I have ever put out in my yard.
I strongly feel like she is bringing a refreshing perspective to local government that we need. She’s running as an independent because it’s not about the label of a party, it’s about the people she’s representing.
Candidates like her are the future to repair this divided political climate, and to have us refocusing on being neighbors and seeing the power we have as small local communities.
I have respect for that, and for some of the choices she has made throughout her campaign to stay true to her values and what she wants to represent.
No one will have a 100% agreeable viewpoint: we’re human, with different experiences that shape our opinions. But I feel like Charlotte would listen to them and strive to make the most representative choice in office.
