Ann (Mason) Morris

LEWISTON – Ann (Mason) Morris, 91, of Lewiston, formerly of North Turner, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, with her loving family by her side. She was born March 1, 1933, in Turner, the daughter of Kennard and Mae (Libby) Mason.

She attended school in Turner. On May 31, 1952, in Minot, she married Millard M. Morris, they enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing on Dec. 27, 2019. Ann worked at House’s Market in North Turner, with Maynard and Punk House for 40 years. Ann enjoyed rides with Millard and family to Screw Auger Falls with picnic lunches. They always liked to go for a ride through Western Maine fall foliage and watching for Moose. They made frequent rides to Leeds to look for deer in the summer evening.

Ann was very active in her North Turner Church. Ann and Millard ran the clothing store, at the club house for several summers and helped with church suppers at the G.A.R. Hall. She also worked at the Turner Food Bank. Ann enjoyed her weekly get togethers with family and friends that Patty Bolduc scheduled at various restaurants. Ann and her sister Jean always looked forward to those Wednesday events.

Thank you to granddaughter Heather Leonardo, for all the help she gave Millard and Ann. The Mason Road Families that looked out and cared for Millard and Ann. Thank you, Guy and Jaylene Tracy and Patty White, for all their visits and assistance. The years at D’Youville were made so much better by special family members, especially Jayson Hanson for all the gifts and added care that Ann so looked forward to. A very special thank you to the staff at D’Youville Pavilion. The nurses went above and beyond in caring for Ann. Thank you also to the staff at Andwell for their wonderful care for Ann.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Richardson and her husband George of North Turner; granddaughter, Heather Leonardo and her husband Jeff also of North Turner, grandson, Anthony Richardson and fiancée Beth Theberge of Lewiston; great-grandchildren, Chase and Isabel Leonardo, Kinsley and Ryder Richardson; sisters, Jean Tucker of Lewiston, Judy Gallop of Monmouth, Marsha LaPlante of Livermore Falls, Meredith Biggs and her companion Leroy Hiscock of Turner, Margaret Blodgett of Jay and Joanne Keene and her husband Roger of North Turner; sister-in-law, Julie Mason of Turner, brother-in-law, Kenneth Judd; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Millard, brothers; Jerald, Robert and Randy Mason, her sisters, Gayla Judd and Shirley Mahaney, sisters-in-law, Rosemarie and Vicky Mason, her brothers-in-law, Henry Mahaney, Philip Tucker, Dort Biggs, Richard Gallop, and Raoul LaPlante, her niece Kathy Hanson. her nephew Scott Mason.

A service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct.12, at the North Turner Presbyterian Church, 58 Howes Corner Road, Turner, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
